Work with lists - search, filters, group by and saved searches
Find records quickly on any list - type to search, filter, group, and save a view you use often.
Where to find it
Any list (for example SalesOrdersSales Orders)
Every list in SiaOne - sales orders, customers, bills, products and so on - has the same search box on top. These steps use Sales > Orders > Sales Orders, but they work the same everywhere.
Steps
- Click the search box above the list and type a word - a customer name, a document number or a reference. The list narrows as you type. Clear the box to see everything again.
- Click the empty search box to open the panel. Filters are on the left, Group By in the middle and Saved Searches on the right.
- Under Filters, click a choice to switch it on. Click My Documents to remove it and see everyone's documents, then click Sales Orders and Confirmed. Each choice appears as a tag in the search box. Click the x on a tag to remove it.
- Under Group By, click Customer. The list now shows one line per customer with a count. Click the + next to a customer to open its documents.
- Type a name under Saved Searches and click Save current search. Your filters and grouping are saved under that name.
- Click Clear all to start again. Next time, open the panel and click your saved search to get the same view in one click.
Tip
Use + Add filter to filter on any field, for example a date range, and Custom Group to group by a field that is not in the list.
Note
Saved searches are kept in your browser. They are your own and other users do not see them.
What happens next
Choose which columns to show and send the list to Excel: Choose columns, sort and export a list.
