What the report shows

One row for every unpaid customer invoice, with the amount split by how late it is: Current (not yet due), 1-30, 31-60, 61-90 and 90+ days past the due date. The totals at the bottom add up each column. Credit notes and unallocated receipts show as negative amounts and reduce what the customer owes.

Steps

  1. Open Accounting > Reports and choose Aged Receivable under Partners.
  2. Read the table. Each row shows the Customer, the Invoice, the Invoice Date, the Due Date, and the amount in the column that matches its age. Total Due is the whole balance of that row. Scroll down for the total of every column.
  3. Change As of to see the balances on an earlier day. Type the date as DD/MM/YYYY and press Tab. The ages are worked out from that date.
  4. Use the filters at the top. Pick one Customer, or type part of a name, number or amount in Search. Click the × in the Customer box to clear it.
  5. Click an invoice number to open the invoice behind the balance. Click Aged Receivable in the path at the top of the page to come back to the report.
  6. Click PDF to open a printable copy with your company letterhead, or XLSX to download the report as an Excel file.

Note

The report only counts posted documents. Draft invoices do not appear until you confirm them.

Tip

To see the same unpaid invoices grouped by customer with the balance on each, use Customer Balance Summary. Reports are for managers: you need Accounting - Manager access.

What happens next

To chase a late customer, open the invoice and use Receive Payment when the money arrives - see Record a customer payment.
