Before you start

You need a confirmed sales order. This is for details that do not change money or stock. To change a quantity or a price, use Correct a confirmed order.

Steps

  1. Open Sales > Orders > Sales Orders and click the confirmed order.
  2. Click the actions menu (⋯) next to the number and choose Edit details. A window opens with the fields you can still change.
  3. Type the new Customer reference (for example the customer's new PO number), and choose a different Salesperson if the order has changed hands.
  4. Change the Delivery address if the goods are going somewhere else.
  5. Click Save details. The order shows the new reference, the new person in Assigned To and the new Delivery Address. Quantities, prices, totals and stock stay exactly as they were.

Note

The window also has Valid until, Payment term, Revision, Validity, Project, Invoice address, Scope of work, Terms and conditions and Notes. Scroll down inside the window to reach the ones at the bottom, and the descriptions of the order lines.

Note

Only a Sales Manager can change the Salesperson. A cancelled order cannot be edited.

What happens next

If a quantity or a price is wrong too, use Correct a confirmed order.
